Selena Gomez‘s new baby sister is here!

The pop star’s mom, Mandy Cornett, has welcomed a daughter with husband Brian Teefey, E! News confirmed Thursday.

E! News exclusively revealed last month that Mandy was expecting a girl, a day after Selena sorta-spilled the baby beans by tweeting a photo of herself with her hand resting on her mom’s stomach on—when else—Mother’s Day.

A wonderful present for the whole family, indeed.

Mandy and Brian tied the knot in 2006. This is their first child together—and Gomez’s first sibling!

After Selena Gomez’s position on Billboard’s Social 50 took a dip due to a brief week of inactivity, she once again ascends the tally (up 34-24) on the back of the newly-released track, “Slow Down,” from her forthcoming debut album, “Stars Dance.”

The Social 50 ranks the most popular artists on YouTube, Vevo, Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, Wikipedia, Myspace and Instagram. The chart’s methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers with artist page views, song plays and reactions.

Gomez goes up the Social 50 as “Slow Down,” which debuted June 3, generated over 3.5 million global views on VEVO through June 9. The views helped contribute to the over 17 million views received by Selena Gomez’s VEVO channel during the week (up 87%).

“Slow Down” also created a whirlwind of online buzz, evidenced by the over 165% rise in conversation about Selena Gomez on Facebook which gave way to the addition of over 136,000 new fans on the platform, a 34% rise fan acquisition over the previous week. The new cut was also an instant gratification track with the iTunes pre-order of Gomez’s forthcoming album, which went up for pre-order on June 4. The set drops on July 23.
 
Elsewhere, Mariah Carey rises 46-38 (a 38% lift in overall points) courtesy of a teasing message posted to her Facebook and Twitter accounts on June 5: “The New Era Begins. . .  7/23.” The post was an announcement of the release date of her 13th studio album on July 23, coincidentally the same release day as Selena Gomez’s “Stars Dance.” Carey’s announcement pushes a 39% boost in weekly fan acquisition, which equates to 275,000 new fans across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
 
While she remains at No. 2 on the Social 50, Taylor Swift experiences a massive increase in chart points, gaining by 20%. The gain is owed to the release of her new music video on June 5 for “Everything Has Changed,” featuring Ed Sheeran. The increase comes with 777,000 new fans added (14%) and 19 million plays (up 158%), most of which were to her VEVO channel where the video was posted.

As for the rest of the top 10, Justin Bieber and Rihanna remain at Nos. 1 and 3 respectively, while Bruno Mars moves up 5-4. Pitbull steps 7-5, One Direction takes a two position jump (8-6) and Jennifer Lopez tumbles (4-7). Beyonce makes a three position ascension into the top 10 (11-8) as Justin Timberlake slides 9-6. Adele anchors the top 10 (moving 12-10).
